Melinda Gallagher is the proud owner and Solicitor Director of Granleese & Co, bringing over a decade of leadership and legal expertise to the Riverina community. With a deep commitment to fairness and justice, Mel is known for her approachable, down-to-earth style and her ability to simplify complex legal issues for clients. Her passion lies in achieving the best possible outcomes while ensuring the process is clear, compassionate, and client-focused.

Mel took over Granleese & Co in 2014, building on its legacy while shaping a modern and accessible legal practice. Outside of work, she is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of legal professionals and staying actively involved in the local community.

Jamie Cole, Solicitor

Jamie Cole brings a wealth of experience to Granleese & Co as our Conveyancing Solicitor, expertly managing the majority of our conveyancing matters with precision and care. In addition, Jamie provides thoughtful advice and assistance with the preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Enduring Guardian documents, ensuring clients feel confident and secure in their future planning.

Jamie’s legal career began in 1995 as a Law Clerk, and she was admitted as a solicitor in 2001. She joined Granleese & Co in 2004, contributing her expertise for several years before relocating to Broome, Western Australia, in 2012. After returning to Temora with her family in late 2019, Jamie re-joined the Granleese & Co team in early 2020, continuing her commitment to delivering exceptional legal services to the community.

Ellen Manson, Graduate Lawyer

Ellen joined Granleese & Co in mid-2024 and is on track to becoming a qualified solicitor in March 2025 after completing her double degree in Law and Commerce, majoring in Marketing, in December 2024. Ellen is excited to bring her marketing expertise into her legal career, adding a unique perspective as she gains experience across a wide range of legal areas.

In her free time, Ellen takes on the ambitious project of building a Zenith Zodiac XL two-seater aircraft, reflecting her passion for hands-on challenges and precision.

Billie-Jo McShane, Law Clerk

With over 36 years of experience in the legal industry, Billie-Jo is a cornerstone of expertise at Granleese & Co Pty Ltd. Born and bred in Temora, she brings a wealth of local knowledge to the firm, enriching her ability to connect with and serve the community. Her extensive knowledge spans across conveyancing, wills, estates, leases, commercial, and general legal matters. Alison Tough, Licensed Conveyancer

Alison Tough is a familiar and friendly face in the West Wyalong community, bringing over 30 years of dedication and expertise to her role. She has been a valued member of the R. Bruce Bloore & Son team since 1994 and transitioned seamlessly to Granleese & Co Pty Ltd when the firms merged in May 2023.

Alison holds a Licence under the Conveyancers Licensing Act 2003, earned through a two-year course at Macquarie University. Her primary focus is on conveyancing, while she also assists with estate and wills matters, providing reliable and compassionate support to clients.

As someone who has lived in West Wyalong her whole life, Alison’s deep connection to the community enhances her ability to offer personalised and approachable service. Her commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes and her longstanding relationships within the area make her an invaluable member of the team.

Wendy Hornby, Admin Assistant

Wendy Hornby is a valued member of our Wills, Probate, and Estate Administration team. Previously the local NAB Manager for the West Wyalong and Temora branches, Wendy brings a wealth of financial expertise and a genuine passion for helping others navigate complex situations with care and professionalism.

Known for her warm and friendly nature, Wendy creates a welcoming environment for both clients and colleagues alike. Her thoughtful touch, including brightening the office with freshly cut flowers, makes everyone feel at home. Wendy’s dedication to providing compassionate support ensures that clients feel confident and at ease throughout their legal journey.

Julie Heaslip, Admin Assistant

Julie brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role at Granleese & Co Pty Ltd. Having first joined R. Bruce Bloore & Son in 1984 for what was initially a six-week temporary position, Julie quickly became a valued member of the team and transitioned to a full-time role. After taking a break in 1994 to focus on her family, Julie returned in 2019 and continued her work part-time. Following the merger of Granleese & Co Pty Ltd and R. Bruce Bloore & Son in May 2023, she has enjoyed collaborating with the broader team in Temora.

Julie holds a Certificate III in Business and has completed a TAFE Secretarial Skills Course. Her work includes reception duties for the West Wyalong office, assisting solicitors, preparing files, and supporting matters related to deceased estates and conveyancing. With over 15 years of experience in the legal field, Julie is known for her commitment and adaptability.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys crocheting, spending time with her family, and practising tai chi each week. She is excited about continuing to learn new skills and contribute to the success of the firm.

Dize Kemp, Receptionist

Dize Kemp joined Granleese & Co as Receptionist in July 2024, bringing her warm and friendly demeanour to the team. With her background in secretarial studies, equivalent to today’s Certificate III in Business Administration, and additional computer and spreadsheet training, Dize provides invaluable support to every member of the firm.

Though new to the legal field, Dize’s enthusiasm and adaptability make her a key part of the team, ensuring clients feel welcomed and supported from the moment they walk through the door.

Outside of work, Dize enjoys travelling, music, gardening, socialising, star gazing, exercising, and spending time with her beloved pets. Her positive attitude and diverse interests bring a vibrant energy to the Granleese & Co. office.
